Fall Season
Congratulations to your player on their selection to a Frisco Ice Hockey Association team for the Fall 2026-2027 season! If it's your first time with FIHA, welcome to the family. If you are a returning player, we're so pleased to have you back.
Frisco Ice Hockey Association is a member of the Texas Scholastic Hockey League, offering both Varsity and Scholastic (formerly JV) programs for students who reside in the Frisco Independent School District.
Ages
All players must live in an area zoned for Frisco Independent School District and be zoned for a FISD High/Middle school. Homeschool and private school students that live in FISD are also eligible
- Scholastic players must be incoming 7th -10th grade only (minimum 2013 birth year). No Junior or Seniors are allowed to play Scholastic.
- Varsity players must be incoming 9th-12th grade only. No incoming 7th or 8th graders may play Varsity.
When
Tryouts: August 8th & 9th
Team Practice Begin: August 23rd
Leveling: September 10th & 11th
Season Start: September 23rd
Season End: February or March
Playoffs: February or March
Where
All practices are held at Comerica Center located at 2601 Avenue of the Stars, Frisco, TX 75034
Games are played at rinks throughout the DFW metroplex.
Practices
Teams typically practice 1-2 times per week in the early mornings.
Optional skill practices and skating enhancement sessions are available throughout the season when we can fit them in.
Games
Teams will play an estimated 2 leveling games and 18 regular season games.
Teams that make playoffs could play an additional 1-4 games.
Scholastic games are typically on Sunday.
Varsity games are typically on Wednesday or Sunday.
